Skillet Pasta Dinner

Ingredients
- 1/2 pound turkey, ground, 85% lean
- 1 medium onion, chopped
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 14.5-ounce can diced tomatoes
- 1 8-ounce can tomato sauce
- 1 cup water
- 8 ounces penne pasta, uncooked (or another small pasta like macaroni)
- 2 cups mixed vegetables frozen
Directions
- Brown the ground meat, onion, and garlic in a skillet or heavy saucepan over medium high heat, about 8 minutes. Drain off any grease.
- Add the tomatoes, tomato sauce, water, and uncooked pasta.
- Cover and simmer for 10 minutes. Stir occasionally.
- Add the vegetables, stir and continue cooking until the pasta and vegetables are tender (about 5 more minutes).
Recipe Tips
Use any type of ground meat in place of ground turkey, such as ground beef, chicken, or pork.
