Ground Beef Stew
Stews are easy to make and a good source of additional hydration. Consider adding a whole grain like barley to make an even heartier stew.

Ingredients
- 1/2 pound beef, ground, lean
- 1 10.75-ounce can tomato soup, condensed
- 11 ounces water
- 6 carrots, sliced
- 2 potatoes, diced
- 1 cup onion, diced
Directions
- Brown meat in a large skillet over medium high heat. Drain fat.
- Add soup and 1 can of water to fry pan. Add vegetables.
- Bring to a boil, then reduce to simmer, covered, about 25 minutes or until potatoes are tender.
- Remove from heat, cover for 10 minutes to thicken.
Recipe Tips
Use tomato sauce in place of tomato soup.
