Chicken Cacciatore

Ingredients
- 1 small onion, chopped
- 1/4 cup water
- 1 cup tomatoes, canned
- 1/2 cup tomato sauce
- 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon oregano
- 1/8 teaspoon pepper
- 1 pound chicken breast, skinless, boneless
Directions
- In a saucepan, cook onions in water until tender.
- Add tomatoes, tomato sauce, and seasonings. Simmer about 10 minutes. Set aside
- Place chicken in frying pan; top with tomato mixture.
- Cook covered for 45 minutes over low heat until chicken is tender.
- Uncover and cook an additional 15 minutes to allow sauce to thicken.
Recipe Tips
If you don't have a lid for your frying pan, place a piece of tin foil over it.
