Baked Meatballs

Ingredients
- 1 tablespoon vegetable oil
- 1/4 cup onion, minced
- 1 pound ground beef, lean (or ground turkey)
- 1 large egg
- 3/4 cup bread crumbs
- 1/2 cup milk, low fat
- 1/8 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon pepper
Directions
- Preheat oven to 400°F.
- Add oil to a small skillet over medium heat. Cook onions until tender, about 3 minutes.
- Transfer onions to a large bowl and add remaining ingredients. Mix to combine.
- Shape into 2-inch meatballs.
- Place meatballs on a baking sheet and bake until an inserted thermometer reads 155°F for 15 seconds, about 12-15 minutes.
Recipe Tips
Try adding dried parsley or other herbs to the mixture for added flavor.
