  1. Place the rutabagas and carrots in a large pot filled with water.
  2. Cook over high heat until the vegetables are soft, about 40 minutes. Turn off the heat and drain.
  3. In the pot, mash the vegetables until smooth with only a few small lumps. Add the oil and beat with a spoon until smooth.
  4. Add salt and pepper to taste. Enjoy!

Turnips can be used in place of rutabaga.
