Easy Turkey Broth

This recipe is a great way to use leftover turkey bones after Thanksgiving!

Directions

  1. Put all of the ingredients in a large pot and cover with cold water. Make sure there is 2-3 inches of water covering the ingredients.
  2. Bring the liquid to a simmer over high heat, and turn down the heat if it starts to boil.
  3. Simmer slowly for about 2 hours; taste it to check the flavor. Skim off the fat with a ladle every 30 minutes or so.
  4. Using a collander or strainer, strain the broth into smaller containers.
  5. Remove the meat from the bones and save it for another use (like soup!).
  6. Discard vegetables and bones.
  7. Cool completey, uncovered, before storing.
