Lentil Spaghetti Sauce

Ingredients
- 1 pound beef, ground, 90% lean
- 1 cup onion, chopped
- 1 clove garlic, crushed
- 1 1/2 cups lentils, cooked, drained
- 28 ounces low sodium spaghetti sauce
Directions
- In a large saucepan brown meat over medium high heat. Drain fat.
- Add onion and garlic to drained meat. Cook until onions are soft but not brown, about 5 minutes.
- Add cooked lentils and spaghetti sauce and bring to a boil. Lower heat and cook gently for 15 minutes.
- Serve sauce over hot cooked spaghetti noodles.
Recipe Tips
Use any type of ground meat in place of beef, such as ground turkey or chicken.
