Thanksgiving Cranberry Relish

Ingredients
- 1 can whole berry cranberry sauce
- 2 green apples peeled and cored, cut into thick slices
- 1 large orange peeled, seeds removed, separated into slices
- 1 to 2 cups granulated sugar
Directions
- Using a mortar and pestle (molcajete) or grinder, push the cranberries, orange sections, and apple slices through. Do not over grind as it will create a mush instead of a relish.
- Next, add the sugar to your liking. If you want a less sweet relish, add 1/2 cup of sugar. Keep adding more sugar, 1/4 cup at a time until the relish is sweet to liking.
- Let the relish sit at room temperature for 45 minutes, or until the sugar dissolves. Store in the refrigerator until ready to serve with your favorite Thanksgiving sides!
