Instructions
  1. In a large sauce pan, cook turkey in oil until turkey is browned, about 9 minutes. Drain fat.
  2. Add onions and cook about 4 minutes.
  3. Add remaining ingredients except the cheese. Bring to a boil, stirring frequently.
  4. Cover and reduce heat. Simmer about 15 minutes.
  5. Uncover and simmer 10 more minutes. Divide into bowls and sprinkle with cheese.
Recipe Notes

Instead of cheese, top with plain yogurt or sour cream.

You can use any type of bean you have on hand.

Serve over rice, baked potatoes, or with crackers.
