Instructions
  1. Cook the beef and onion in a saucepan on medium until meat is brown and onion is tender, about 10 minutes.
  2. Add the beans, tomatoes, water, and seasonings.
  3. Cover and simmer on low heat for 1 hour.

You can add extra chopped vegetables or beans to this chili.  Top with your favorite low-fat shredded cheese.
