Ingredients

Directions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F.
  2. Mix together flour and baking powder in a small bowl.
  3. In a large bowl, mix together margarine and sugar until well blended.
  4. Add applesauce, eggs, and banana. Mix well.
  5. Add flour mixture to the other ingredients in small batches, stirring after each addition.
  6. Add the walnuts to mixture and gently mix in.
  7. Pour batter into a lightly greased loaf pan and bake for 50-60 minutes.

Recipe Tips

Using applesauce to replace some of the margarine helps keep the bread moist while reducing the fat content.
