Ingredients
- 1 pound turkey, ground
- 2 large onions, chopped
- 2 medium bell peppers, seeded and chopped
- 1 16-ounce can tomatoes, diced, undrained
- 1 cup brown rice, cooked
- 2 teaspoons ground cumin
- 2 teaspoons chili powder
- 1/8 teaspoon pepper
Directions
- Cook meat, onions, and pepper in large skillet until vegetables are tender and meat is browned.
- Drain off fat in a strainer until no liquid remains.
- Return meat to skillet and add tomatoes, cooked rice, and spices. Heat thoroughly until juice is slightly boiling and an inserted thermometer reads 165°F for 15 seconds.
