Ingredients

Directions

  1. In a large heavy skillet coated with nonstick cooking spray, cook onions until soft, about 5 minutes.
  2. Add beef round roast to skillet and brown on all sides, about 2-3 minutes per side.
  3. In a small bowl, combine the hot water with the bouillon cube and stir until it dissolves. Mix in orange juice and pepper.
  4. Pour over meat. Cover and cook over low heat for 1 ½ to 2 hours.
  5. Every 15 minutes, ladle sauce over top of beef and check it's not stuck to the bottom of the pan.
  6. Serve hot.

Recipe Tips

Instead of finishing on the stove top, cover pot and place in 300 degree oven for same amount of time.
