Ingredients

Directions

  1. Heat a medium nonstick saucepan over medium high heat.
  2. Add onion, carrots, green pepper, and ground beef. Cook for 5 minutes, stirring occasionally.
  3. Add tomato sauce, crushed tomatoes, mushrooms and barbecue sauce. Bring to a boil.
  4. Reduce heat to low and simmer for 15-20 minutes or until thickened, stirring occasionally.
  5. Spoon sauce over buns and enjoy.

Use any type of ground meat in place of ground beef, such as turkey, chicken, or pork.
